Facebook rules over Whatsapp!!!

Ok so yesterday that is Saturday 22,2014 that Facebook owner Mark Zuckerberg has sealed the deal to buy away Whatsapp with $19 billion. First of all...... that pretty huge. Whatsapp is great messaging application for smartphones and Androids to communicate. Whatsapp has about 450 million users globally adding about 1 million each day due to its excellent services. Whatsapp was launched about five years ago. Funny thing is in 2009, Whatsapp co-founder Brian Acton was refused by Facebook in accounts of seeking employment. The workers of Whatsapp will now work under Facebook administration. I believe that since Whatsapp was such a hit and somehow was a threat to Facebook due to its versitality and ease so Mark Zuckerbarg decided to seal it with a deal that has been done earlier with Instagram for $I billion. Lets hope that Whatsapp doesnt disappoint us in future.

Robot to the rescue: Emerging Pakistan

I am quite pleased to announce this is a good news about Pakistan. A student of MSc Sulaiman Khan  at the Institute of Physics and Electronics, University of Peshawar has earned himself an honor of devising a robot such to defuse bombs. “I got the idea from the movie. The situation in K-P was the final straw, people dying while trying to defuse bombs and save lives,” he told The Express Tribune over the phone. The student used his limited financial resources to make this robot taking the time span of three months.Approximately Rs.82000/= was consumed in the process. The student claims that if the project is well funded, he could have made a better robot with sensors and other specifications rather than compromising to give away a cheap model. “the movement assembly is like a car’s”. It is battery operated and has one arm, but another can easily be added. “The hand has a five directional motion, and the rotator cuff can move 360 degrees.” Sulaiman Khan plans on building ...

Modern Combat : seeking inside Lyari

Lyari ...... an old valley in Pakistan that was once famous for its unique acing techniques in football has now become a war zone within this modern claimed peaceful society. Lyari is one of the oldest areas located in Karachi,Pakistan and was once a happy place like the rest of the residential areas in the city. Since war on terror and tribal division, there has been a massacre .Due to the recent disputes among the peaceful residents on the basis of caste and national character, a war has been unleashed. People who reside there go through living hell each day where they have a constant fear of being bombarded within their houses. The poor and the sick are deprived within their houses with no safety and live with the yet existing fear to step outside their house and get killed. Many families live from hand to mouth with less to no food for consecutive days due to constant threat of getting killed from the tribal division war. Young children are kept aloof from educa...

Act of Bravery !!!

So I was browsing through the net until this news caught my attention. A young boy aged 15 named Temar Boggs kept on chasing a car on his bike in order to save a child. As a result, the 5 year old girl was saved who was kidnapped from her front yard in Pennyslvania. Later the cops were called and the culprits got arrested. Now, I wanted to share this story because this story teaches us a great lesson of humanity. Nowadays, people dont care a damn about whats going on in their surroundings as long as they are safe. They turn a deaf ear to the many silent cries around. Protecting humanity, being philanthropist, helping the sick is seen as some community work during detention or to flaunt your wealth. It does not have to turn  out like that. These are our basics, this is who we are and this is what every religion teaches us PEACE!

Pakistanis beat largest human flag record!!!

Pakistan...... a nation whose citizens are still lively in spite of increasing threats due to terrorism and governmental issues. On February 15, 2014, I am pleased to hear that Pakistani students of Lahore gather and come up with over 29.000 students who are determined to make Pakistan proud. The record was previously held by Bangladesh but Pakistan has claimed its record to beat largest human flag at present. The record has also been validated by the officials of Guinness Book of World records. The thought which has to be promoted is that although it was done in a city, all in all it represented the nation as whole. The point is to stay united and demolish discrimination in order to prosper. Unity is strength.

University Education in Pakistan VS Government !!!

So the tension has been created between Government Of Pakistan and the university education in Pakistan. Why? Because law has been passed by the government to keep the funding rights rather than providing it to HEC (Higher Education Commission) as before. Keeping in mind the corruption happening in Pakistan, the rising Education sector will be doomed. Not only scholarships and Internship Programs will be effected deeply but the authentication of degrees gained by the students either in Bachelors or Masters or Ph.D program will loose its worth nationally and Internationally. The salaries not to mention might not be paid. Its like playing with the future of Youth.... the pioneers. In reference to all this, protest was recorded by the teachers of the universities present in Pakistan from KPK,Punjab, Sindh and Balochistan including KU, NEDUET and other institutes on 11th February 2014. The teachers unanimously bycotted from teaching at the institutes in order to let the governmen...
