Modern Combat : seeking inside Lyari

Lyari ...... an old valley in Pakistan that was once famous for its unique acing techniques in football has now become a war zone within this modern claimed peaceful society.

Lyari is one of the oldest areas located in Karachi,Pakistan and was once a happy place like the rest of the residential areas in the city.

Since war on terror and tribal division, there has been a massacre .Due to the recent disputes among the peaceful residents on the basis of caste and national character, a war has been unleashed.

People who reside there go through living hell each day where they have a constant fear of being bombarded within their houses.
The poor and the sick are deprived within their houses with no safety and live with the yet existing fear to step outside their house and get killed.
Many families live from hand to mouth with less to no food for consecutive days due to constant threat of getting killed from the tribal division war.
Young children are kept aloof from education since they do not go to school because of THIS fear.
The fear that has been established by the people on to the same people that once were united.
Society can not prosper when a part of it is kept in a situation as of Lyari.
Hence the women and children also pickup the weapons that should have books.
It is of great courage to live at such a place and risk one's life for the sake of family. And yet the same courage is required at dusk when they return home to find out whether a family member is alive or dead.
Is this the modern and educational and prosperous society that Allama Iqbal dreamt of or did Quaid want Pakistan or Karachi to turn out like this?
In many addresses Quaid e Azam emphasized on Unity and that no society can prosper without it.
The words that come prior in his famous quote "Unity,Faith and Discipline".

Zoo Animals Watch: zoo killed giraffe!!

Yes its right..... On 10th February 2014, this act took place at a local zoo in Copanhagen. The giraffe was a 18-month old male who was not only dissected in front of live audience BUT the remains was also fed to the lions. The zoo felt the animal to be unwanted..... CRUEL. A large gun was used for the act. This act caused a number of protests by every one who is an animal lover. The animal rights organizations also stood up for the cause but the zoo uses its advantage from European Association of Zoos as to reduce breeding. "I'm actually proud because I think we have given children a huge understanding of the anatomy of a giraffe that they wouldn't have had from watching a giraffe in a photo," zoo spokesperson Tobias Stenbaek Bro told Associated Press . Performing live anatomy for the sake of learning is fine but what good did killing an animal cause. It has indeed given live footage but was it worth it??? Well I cant say much but I think this act has ex...

Act of Bravery !!!

So I was browsing through the net until this news caught my attention. A young boy aged 15 named Temar Boggs kept on chasing a car on his bike in order to save a child. As a result, the 5 year old girl was saved who was kidnapped from her front yard in Pennyslvania. Later the cops were called and the culprits got arrested. Now, I wanted to share this story because this story teaches us a great lesson of humanity. Nowadays, people dont care a damn about whats going on in their surroundings as long as they are safe. They turn a deaf ear to the many silent cries around. Protecting humanity, being philanthropist, helping the sick is seen as some community work during detention or to flaunt your wealth. It does not have to turn  out like that. These are our basics, this is who we are and this is what every religion teaches us PEACE!

Asia Cup 2014:Pakistan vs India

Ok so yesterday that is on 2nd March 2014, aired the most exciting and thrilling match for cricket lovers. India vs Pakistan  You never know who will win the match that makes this match all too exciting. India had given target of 245 to Pakistan which had although seemed distant but was yet accomplished. The game plan did flip flops in the last five overs when Pakistan was at strike. After the catch out of Umer Gul, the match had seemed quite out of grip. Later Saeed Ajmal went out developing pressure on Pakistani team. It was all on the shoulders of Shahid Afridi which he not only suceeded but also did it quite remarkably with his last and amazing match winning six. One thing interesting is that such scenario between India and Pakistan had also occurred once during the Sharjah cup back in 1985/86 with only one wicket remaining. At that time,Javaid Miandad had hit the match winning sixer and now it was Shahid Khan Afridi. There is indeed similarity in the two Asia c...
