Ok so yesterday that is on 2nd March 2014, aired the most exciting and thrilling match for cricket lovers.
India vs Pakistan You never know who will win the match that makes this match all too exciting.
India had given target of 245 to Pakistan which had although seemed distant but was yet accomplished.
The game plan did flip flops in the last five overs when Pakistan was at strike.
After the catch out of Umer Gul, the match had seemed quite out of grip.
Later Saeed Ajmal went out developing pressure on Pakistani team.
It was all on the shoulders of Shahid Afridi which he not only suceeded but also did it quite remarkably with his last and amazing match winning six.
One thing interesting is that such scenario between India and Pakistan had also occurred once during the Sharjah cup back in 1985/86 with only one wicket remaining.
At that time,Javaid Miandad had hit the match winning sixer and now it was Shahid Khan Afridi.
There is indeed similarity in the two Asia cups:
1.Pakistan chose to field first in the two matches.
2.Three Indian Batsman had scored half centuries in the two matches.
3.Two runs out were in Pakistani innings in the two matches.
4.Zulqarnain(number 10)was bowled by C.Sharma on the first ball then where as here Ajmal(number 10) was bowled by R.Ashwin on the first ball.
5.Tauseef (number 11) had taken a single run to give strike to Miandad then where as here Junaid(number 11) took a single run to give strike to Afridi.
6.C.Sharma had taken 3 wickets and bowled last over then where as now R.Ashwin took 3 wickets and bowled last over.
7.Miandad and Afridi both had hit 3 sixes during the innings then and now.
History was indeed made!
